ABOUT US


Carisbrook Primary School is situated in central Victoria equidistant between Ballarat and Bendigo and 7 kilometres from Maryborough on the Pyrenees Highway, approximately 150 kilometres from Melbourne.

The school's education programs operate within traditional grade structures supplemented by specialist programs in Science, PE, Special Assistance/Education and The Arts. , Indonesian (Languages Other Than English) is taught as part of the classroom program. 
We acknowledge that Carisbrook Primary School is located on the traditional lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung.

We would like to acknowledge and extend our appreciation for the Jaara People of the Dja Dja Wurrung, the Traditional Owners of the land that we are learning on today. 

We pay our respects to leaders and Elders past, present and emerging for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and the hopes of all Jaara Peoples.

We express our gratitude in the sharing of this land, our sorrow for the personal, spiritual and cultural costs of that sharing and our hope that we may walk forward together in harmony and in the spirit of healing and respect.

Carisbrook Primary School is committed to safety and wellbeing of all children and young people. This will be the primary focus of our care and decision-making.
 
Carisbrook Primary School has zero tolerance for child abuse. 

Carisbrook Primary School is committed to providing a child safe environment where children and young people are safe and feel safe, and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives. Particular attention will be paid to the cultural safety of Aboriginal children and children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, as well as the safety of children with a disability. 

Every person involved in Carisbrook Primary School has a responsibility to understand the important and specific role he/she plays individually and collectively to ensure that the wellbeing and safety of all children and young people is at the forefront of all they do and every decision they make.
