Energy Breakthrough Sponsorships

What is Energy Breakthrough?

Carisbrook Primary School has a long-enriched history in the Energy Breakthrough (EBT) and students at our school thoroughly look forward to being a part of the senior unit to represent the school. We are excited to announce that we will be participating in the EBT held in Maryborough from 19th-23rd of November2026.

At CPS, the EBT is an exciting opportunity for our 5/6 students to participate in unique challenges with real-world skills. As we are one of the oldest competing schools in EBT, our senior students try their best to achieve their goals. Energy Breakthrough also gives our students a chance to form long-lasting friendships because of the amount of teamwork involved in the program. We can only achieve those friendships if we have businesses to sponsor our entries for trikes, robotics, and push carts.

With a high level of interest and investment from our school, we are making the Energy Breakthrough more than just one weekend. At Carisbrook, the Human Powered Vehicle (HPV) teams are looking at competing in more races throughout the year. In addition to Robotics, which is a global phenomenon, our school is planning to attend other local events where skills are extended and shared. Our competition results from the EBT Maryborough event will also be submitted for the global competition. Our staff and students are excited about taking the program to the next level.

Our 2026 Sponsors

We gratefully acknowledge the businesses supporting our 2026 Energy Breakthrough teams.

The Carisbrook Mercury – Hat Package sponsor.

How will the sponsorship be used?

All students who wish to be considered for our HPV teams will participate in a series of rigorous selection training sessions. These sessions include both bike riding and hands-on experience with our training trikes, as well as completing homework tasks that explore the purpose of the HPV program and the broader themes it represents. In particular, students develop an understanding of the environmental impact of different energy systems and the importance of sustainability.

For our teams to fully participate in and benefit from this event, there are significant costs involved. We rely on the generosity of our community and local businesses to help make this opportunity possible for our students. In addition to HPV, our Robotics and Pushcart teams also require support for materials, equipment, and competition entry.

At this year’s Energy Breakthrough event, Carisbrook Primary School will once again enter up to four teams in the Robotics Challenge. Students dedicate countless hours to coding a Sphero Bolt. Students often describe this event using words such as persistence, patience, determination, resilience, teamwork and drive. We are excited to continue growing this STEM-based opportunity.

Your sponsorship in 2026 will not only contribute to the November event but will also support the program throughout the entire year. With a large number of students involved, funding will directly assist with the purchase of new equipment, repairs and maintenance of our trikes, preparation and presentation resources, and overall program development. Your support helps ensure that our students receive the highest quality Energy Breakthrough (EBT) experience possible.
